Unified Security Appliance Leader Adds Monitoring for Firewall, VPN, Antispam, AV, IDS and Vulnerability Testing to Enable Traditional ISPs & VARs to Enter MSP Security Market.

Barbedwire Technologies, a leader in Unified Security Appliance solutions that automate network defenses, today announced new offerings for Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and emerging MSPs that need to bring their customers simplified yet strong managed network security. The new DP Monitor (pronounced Deep Monitor) products allow MSPs to offer 24X7 monitoring of vital network security functions without the need to develop, purchase, install, and manage their own Network Operations Center (NOC), which may otherwise run to over $1M to build out.

The new MSP service offerings enhance and extend Barbedwire's existing DP Inspector appliance annual maintenance contract to include 24X7 monitoring of the DPI and the services running on it which includes firewall, VPN, IPS, Antispam, Antivirus, and URL filtering. Other optional services that may be monitored include IDS, Vulnerability Scanning, WiFi/LAN Authentication, and SEMS. The DP Monitor services may be ordered with an annual contract that may be paid in advance or by monthly installments.
